CUHK student summer workshop for potential PhD applicants from 21-25 July 2025 (link – deadline 13 June)
CUHK MPhil and PhD program (link – regular deadline around end of January each year; students receive monthly stipend of ~$2,400 USD and can apply for on-campus student housing which costs ~$400 USD per month)
Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme (link – deadline around December 1st each year; recipients receive monthly stipend of ~$3,600 USD, yearly conference travel allowance of ~$1,800 USD, a once-off housing allowance of ~$5,000 USD, and on-campus student housing)
Prospective postdoctoral fellows
RGC postdoctoral fellowship scheme (link – internal nomination deadline around early September each year; recipients receive annual stipend of >$55,000 USD for 3 years)
香江学者计划 (link – deadline around early January each year; recipients receive annual stipend of ~$47,000 USD for 2 years)

ICTP Earth System Physics Postgraduate Diploma Programme scholarship (Trieste, Italy). This one-year programme aims to prepare talented pre-PhD students from developing countries for future PhD studies (link – deadline around February each year).
